The Boeing Company is looking for a Chief Pilot Global Engagement Flight Operations Senior Manager to join our team in Seattle, WA at Boeing Field. This roles primary responsibility will be to provide oversight of Global Engagement Pilots customer engagement and flight operations activities.
Position Responsibilities:
- Operates aircraft and manages Global Engagement pilots and mid-level managers performing aircrew duties, including activities to manage Global Engagement pilots in their duties supporting Boeing commercial aircraft customer flight operations
- Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
- Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with Boeing commercial airplane customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manages, develops, trains and evaluates Global Engagement pilots and mid-level managers
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Commercial Certificate or FAA ATP with appropriate endorsements
- 15+ years of management experience with a medium to large commercial carrier operations team
- Experience in use of commercial carrier safety management systems
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- FAA type rated pilot and actively flying the 737 -8/9 airplane
