Job Description
You will be responsible for the management of assigned flight crew personnel to ensure safety, service and efficiency targets are met on a daily basis. Completion and presentation of performance reviews, resolution of personnel conflicts, aircraft and flight crew scheduling, conducting regular staff meetings to ensure dissemination of critical information and adherence to standards, coordination and communication with headquarters operations and maintenance, review and oversight of outside training involving staff, and participation in monthly management conference calls. Represents company with local and national aviation groups and local Airport Management.
Position Responsibilities:
- Direct supervision of pilots and other assigned staff.
- Coordinate and monitor daily flight operations at assigned location.
- Prepare and file flight plans for all destinations.
- Fly and serve as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on company aircraft.
- Review weather and airport conditions, evaluate fuel requirements and aircraft performance figures to ensure safety of flight, when acting as PIC.
- Ensures all operations conducted within capabilities of the aircraft and crew, with utmost regard for safety of flight.
- Adhere to company Flight Operations Manual, aircraft specific SOPs and all FAA and foreign regulations.
- Oversee Safety Management Systems (SMS), Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and simulation.
- Manage day-to-day hangar and office facilities, including lease negotiations, management of office equipment, and preparation of office budget.
- Approve of building and aircraft related invoices
- Assists in preparation of aircraft budget.
- Responsible for the overall management, maintenance, care, and upkeep of assigned aircraft in coordination with Director of Aircraft Maintenance
- Other duties to include, but not limited to, normal flight responsibilities, travel tasks, passenger requirements and other administrative duties to assure safe and superior service to company personnel and customers.
Position Qualifications:
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate required
- FAA I Medical Certificate (initial hire) required
- FCC Radio Permit required
- Appropriate Aircraft Type Rating required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5,000 hours of total flight time required
- Flight time should include a minimum of 2,000 hours pilot-in-command of multi-engine aircraft, of which 1,000 hours shall be in a jet-powered aircraft
- Previous management experience required.
- Proven ability to display excellent leadership skills, interpret and apply technical expertise when required.
